‘Chosen Garment’ presented

Producer and author Steven Mosley will present “Chosen Garment, The Whole Bible in One Act” at Sequim Seventh-day Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane, Sequim, at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13. In this dramatic, 40-minute, one-man show, Mosley takes people on a whirlwind tour of the Bible that’s both humorous and deeply moving. Using story, character, dialogue and costumes as props, he presents Scripture as a compelling epic, highlighted by the garments of the patriarch, prophet and king.

In praise of mothers

The Rev. Julia McKenna-Blessing will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road, Agnew, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 14. She will talk about the origins of Mother’s Day in America and how it is celebrated in other countries, the island melting pot of Hawaii among them. She also will look at the role and enduring influences women have played in these societies.
