High Holiday services planned

Congregation Olympic B’nai Shalom will have student rabbi Rabbi Laura Rumpf lead members in High Holiday services. The schedule is as follows:

• Erev Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 20, potluck, 6 p.m., service, 7:15 p.m.

• Rosh Hashanah Sunrise Service, Sept. 21, at the City Pier in Port Angeles, 6:30 a.m., followed by no-host breakfast at The Crabhouse; morning service, 10 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

• Tashlich, Sept. 21, 2:30 p.m., Railroad Bridge Park

• Yom Kippur services: Kol Nidre, 7 p.m, Sept. 29; morning service, 10 a.m. Sept. 30; Torah Study, 2 p.m. Yizkor, memorial service/mourning for the deceased, 3:30 p.m. Children may need supervision to remain quiet or to leave if upset.

The daylong service concludes with a dairy potluck at sundown.

All services are held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship unless otherwise noted. The church is at 1033 N. Barr Road. Take Highway 101 east from Port Angeles/west from Sequim to North Barr Road; turn north on North Barr, turn west on Howe Road, take the second driveway on left.
