History for purchase: Society sets fixture/book/vintage sale

The Clallam County Historical Society/North Olympic History Center hosts a fixture/book/vintage sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the old Lincoln School at the corner of Eighth and C Streets in Port Angeles.

Entry and parking will be off of C Street at West Ninth Street only.

Since it is no longer having a garage sale,

The history center, which no longer hosts a garage sale, has a wide range of items such as shelving, tables and bookcases that are no longer needed.

The sale will also feature a number of vintage items, including local memorabilia.

The center was the recipient of an extensive collection of books that belonged to Del Price, and these are also for sale. Price was the advertising manager for the Port Angeles Evening News in the late 1950s and, in 1961, he started a weekly paper, The Shopping News, which became the Clallam County Chronicle & Shopping News.
