Life: Free Thanksgiving meals

The following entities invite the public to a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 24.

• Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4760, 169 E. Washington St., Sequim, will have a free Thanksgiving dinner from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, for all veterans and active military service personnel.

• The Sunshine Cafe, 145 W. Washington St., Sequim, hosts its 14th Annual Free Harvest Dinner from noon-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24. Donations are appreciated. Make reservations by calling 683-4282.

• A traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner will be served at 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim. Reservations may be made at 683-5367 between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the Wednesday before the dinner or by email to dinnerstumc@aol.com. The free dinner is part of Trinity’s community dinner program.

• This holiday season Hardy’s Market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway, Sequim, is inviting the community to enjoy a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Dine in or take out one per person from 11 a.m. while supplies last Thanksgiving Day, Nov 24. No early birds please.

• The Olympic Peninsula Healthy Community Coalition is hosting a free Thanksgiving meal from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, at the Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. Everyone is welcome. RSVP to 360-797-0212 or visit sequimthanksgiving.bpt.me. If you need a ride, call the same number.

• Queen of Angeles Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles, will host its ninth community Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, in the Queen of Angeles gym. All are welcome for a free Thanksgiving feast. There will be gifts and free coats, hats and glove with a surprise visit from Santa.
