Living Alone Now workshop looks at ‘Shopping Cooking for One’

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County announces a Living Alone Now workshop set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the PUD facility at 104 Hooker Road in Carlsborg.

The “Shopping & Cooking for One” workshop is designed to assist those experiencing a recent transition to shopping and preparing meals for one due to the loss of a life partner.

Dr. Carolyn DeSalvo and Rosalinda Castiglioni will offer tips for shopping in small quantities, varied and nutritional menus, ready-made options, and use and storage of leftovers.

The workshop is free and open to the public. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling 360-452-1511 or emailing to vsm@vhocc.org.

The VHOCC Living Alone Now Series continues through June. Upcoming workshops are: “Fraud Prevention & Consumer Protection”; “Q&A with Mark Harvey,” and “Self-Care.”

Contact the office for specific dates.
