Milestone: Home Health Employees get kudos

Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis presented recognition awards to four Olympic Medical Home Health employees at a January board of commissioners meeting.

Registered nurses Nick Richards, Ileana Murphy, Barbara Wise and Referral intake/scheduler Jessica Wilson were honored for consistently going above and beyond to assist patients.

“Nick is a fantastic home visit nurse and is often named by patients in satisfaction surveys,” Lorraine Wall, chief nursing officer and hospital chief operating officer, said.

Richards also helps maximize the use of Home Health’s electronic health record system, she added.

Murphy, a visit nurse, sees west-end patients and was recently promoted to case manager.

“Ileana frequently goes above and beyond for patients and is very much a patient advocate,” Wall said.

Wall added that Wilson often goes the extra mile and shows persistent determination to get patients the help they need. She also helps direct patients to additional resources for services not offered by Olympic Medical.

Wise retired last week after 25 years at Olympic Medical Home Health.

“Barbara is always friendly and welcoming, and has been a mentor and role model for our staff. She is often recognized by her patients for the care and concern she shows for them,” Wall said.
