World travelers hailing originally from Alabama, Ethel Lois Jones Honeycutt and Edwin Honeycutt Jr. are celebrating their 65th anniversary.

Wed on Jan. 5, 1952, at Powderly Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., Lois worked as a church secretary while Edwin began his career with US Steel and retired after 30 years at his last assignment in Portland, Ore. They moved to Sequim in 1994. The Honeycutts have two children, Edwin III (Edmay) and Sherrie Honeycutt McCrorie (John). They have four grandchildren, Tayler, Kelsey (Ross), Stephanie and Brennan, and one great-grandchild, Harper. They celebrated at Downriggers Restaurant in Port Angeles with love, laughter and fond memories.
