Milestone: Leadership award given to OMC respiratory care manager

Andrew Rowe, respiratory care manager at Olympic Medical Center, received the organization’s leadership award at a recent management meeting.

“Since joining OMC in 2016, Andrew has demonstrated energetic, positive and productive management of the 24/7 respiratory therapy department with its busy inpatient and outpatient functions,” said Dr. Scott Kennedy, chief medical officer and chief safety officer. “He is a knowledgeable and proactive leader for his department and a steady contributor to the interdisciplinary work of OMC.”

OMC officlas say Rowe is a good steward of resources and has worked with pharmacy leadership to reduce the cost of respiratory medication treatment at OMC, improving outpatient capabilities in pulmonary therapy services, integrated new pulmonary function testing equipment into Epic, the organization’s electronic health record system, and developed stronger support for pulmonology specialists at Olympic Medical.
