Milestone: Olympic Medical Physicans staffers gets recognition

Medical oncology nurse coordinator Kay C. Hobbs is a strong team member and excellent resource for all her colleagues, OMC officials said, adding that she is the primary preceptor for new nurse coordinators at Olympic Medical Cancer Center (OMCC). Hobbs is the cancer center’s only advanced oncology certified nurse and recently became OMCC’s first certified breast care nurse as well.

Megan Reader, a primary care clinic medical assistant, maintains a calm demeanor and strives to give the best individual care for every patient, OMC representatives said.

Cortlynn Gimlin, also a medical assistant, makes an extra effort to create opportunity for patients to be seen when they have an urgent need, they said.

Rachel Tuller, care navigator at the Primary Care Clinic, works diligently with other departments to establish patients from walk-in clinics to primary care providers, OMC representatives said.

Robert Barnes, a certified physician assistant, always makes a point to give every patient the care they need, they said, while Justine Hanson — Olympic Medical Physician’s orthopaedic clinic registration representative — looks for ways to improve efficiency in the clinics.

Olympic Medical Sleep Center Medical Assistant Kelly Graham embodies OMC’s “CARE” standards in interactions with patients and staff, and “her work ethic is second to none,” OMC officials said.
