Milestone: One ‘Souper’ fundraiser

Dungenesss Valley Lutheran Church youth raised $630 during the church’s “Souper Bowl of Caring” fundraiser.

Samantha Smith and Olivia Webb volunteered their time during the fundraiser.

The January admission-by-donation lunch sought to raise funds for the upcoming Clallam County Homeless Connect event set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the Vern Burton Center in Port Angeles.

There will be free information and assistance including a Smile Mobile, on-site urgent dental care, clothes, food, housing, i.d., legal and medical assistance, job information, haircuts, pet-sitting, veteran’s services, social services and more.
