Former Sequim resident Anna Fox graduated from University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland June 7 with a Doctor’s of Medicine degree.

She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Washington with a double major in medical anthropology/global health and microbiology.

On, June 11, Dr. Fox began a general surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

She hopes to eventually provide surgical care in East Africa, as well as practice in a rural area of the U.S.

Fox graduated from Sequim High School in 2007.

She is the daughter of Lyell Fox and the late Jerry Williamson.
