Milestone: Sequim Picklers gives thanks, donation to SFA for help with courts

Members of the Sequim Picklers donated $2,000 to the Sequim Family Advocates group on Jan. 7 at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.

Picklers representatives said the donation was a “thank you” for allowing the pickleball group to piggy-back on the nonprofit SFA organization during a financial campaign to fund and construct new pickleball courts at Carrie Blake Community Park.

“Their generosity saved thousands of dollars and contributed very much to the Sequim Pickler’s success,” Cathy Hathaway, Sequim Picklers’ Director of Communications, said.

“With their help, we were able to obtain grants and receive donations that would otherwise not have been possible.”
