Milestone: Soroptimist group bestows Continuing Education Awards

Soroptimist International of Sequim announced this week that Deanna Kubas, Claire Henninger and Danica Denae Miller are the recipients of their 2018 Continuing Education Awards.

Kubas is in her second year of a two-year nursing program at Peninsula College. She is a single parent, is employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and volunteers in the community.

Henninger graduated from the Running Start program with an associate of arts degree and a 3.86 grade-point-average; she is attending Western Washington University in Bellingham with a goal of a degree in kinesiology and minor in health sciences.

Miller will begin her second year at Washington State University in architectural studies. She hopes to continue living in Washington state and work for a firm invested in assisting underprivileged people.
