Milestone: Soroptimists honor Sequim youths for community service

Soroptimist International of Sequim recently announced the recipients of the group’s Youth Community Service Awards. Ruth Lopez, left, is a Sequim High School senior who is an animal socializer with the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. Brittany Jensen, also a senior at Sequim High, has volunteered for four years with Special Olympics of Washington. Each received $250 and their respective agencies received $500.
