Four Sequim High School students were recognized as Rotary Students of the Month by the Rotary Club of Sequim. Students receiving awards were, from left, Mercedes Woods for November, Elizabeth Rosales for September, Shailah Wood for December and Liam Payne for October, Mercedes Woods for November.

The students were nominated and rated by their teachers on the basis of the club’s new “Rotary Motto/Four Way Test/Grade Point Average” based system which takes into consideration not only the student’s grade-point average, but also their character and contribution to the community.

Club president Ed Ebling said, “The updated evaluation is more consistent with Rotary’s community-oriented mission and the club was honored to recognize these outstanding students in our quarterly awards ceremony.”
