OMC Auxiliary donates $35K

Olympic Medical Center Auxiliary President Leif Olson presented a donation of $35,000 to Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis at the Auxiliary’s annual “wish list” ceremony on June 12.

The funds will be used for a new security system in the hospital obstetrics unit.

More than $580,000 has been raised by Auxiliary members and donated to the hospital for equipment since 1980.

The Auxiliary also announced four $1,500 scholarships to medical students: Nicole Anders is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy; Georgia Anderson is studying nursing; Kyle Flotto-Meyers is studying nursing; and Jason Kowitz is a third-year medical student.

The Auxiliary has awarded a total of $34,000 in scholarships since 2009 and raises funds for OMC through a variety of fundraisers and its gift shop in the hospital lobby.
