OMC honors pair for leadership

Olympic Medical Center CEO Eric Lewis recognized Cindy Burke, manager, case management, and Lacey Gentry, clinic manager, OMP Primary Care, with the organization’s Leadership Award in January.

“Cindy has done a great job leading the case management department which has grown exponentially over the years and has become quite complex,” according to Lorraine Wall, chief nursing officer.

“She also has helped lead our efforts for the Honoring Choices Pacific Northwest program. This program is about starting the conversation early with patients on how they want to direct their end-of-life care.”

“Lacey manages three Olympic Medical Physicians’ primary care clinics and two walk-in clinics in Port Angeles and Sequim. In the past year, she has welcomed 12 additional physicians and advanced practice clinicians, and more than a dozen support staff,” said Josh Jones, MD, chief physician officer, Olympic Medical Physicians. “Her leadership skills were instrumental in the recent relocation of the Cherry Street Primary Care Clinic and the expansion of the Walk-In Clinic to the new medical office building in Port Angeles.”
