Organist will play on renovated pipes

Joseph Adam, an internationally known organist, will present a program of Advent, Christmas and Epiphany music at the dedication of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s newly renovated pipe organ.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Holy Trinity, 301 Lopez Ave., Port Angeles. Admission costs $15 at the door. Admissions and donations will go to the organ renovation project.

Adam was appointed as cathedral organist at St. James Cathedral in Seattle in 1993. In 1997, he joined the faculty at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, where he teaches organ and harpsichord.

For seven seasons he has performed regularly on the Watjen concert organ at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, where he presents an organ demonstration recital series and performs as resident organist with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.
