OTA’s young actors on parade

Olympic Theatre Arts’ younger thespians will be on the parade route Saturday, promoting their upcoming “Starchild Academy” performances at the Sequim Irrigation Festival Parade on May 12. Some of the cast — Amélie Mantchev, 13, Justice Johnson, 13, Malory Morey, 14, Emily Loucks, 14, and Ruby Coulson, 12 — will don costumes and greet visitors at the OTA doors for “Starchild Academy,” set for May 25-26. This class session is directed by Bonne Smith and Lisa Mantchev and written by Mantchev, and involves 16 local young actors and actresses are enrolled. At the parade, the group will be debuting the flag with the official Starchild Academy coat-of-arms, each quadrant representing the four theatre houses: Acting, Directing, Writing and Production Team.
