PAWS to read at Port Angeles Library

Share a story with a furry, four-legged friend from Olympic Gentle Paws Therapy Dog Club at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabdy St. Reading to a dog or other pet creates a supportive and fun environment in which readers of all ages and abilities can practice their skills with confidence and joy, program organizers say. Research shows that the more children read, the more their reading skills improve. For nervous or self-conscious readers, reading to therapy dogs can be a helpful way to practice reading without feeling intimidated or judged.
