Peace choir sets event

Interfaith Clallam County Peace Choir invites the public to join them for an afternoon filled with music and singing from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, 1033 Barr Road.

The event features songs of peace, freedom and justice, followed by refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome.

The peace choir songs are from all faiths and traditions. The audience will hear an African peace song called “Freedom is Coming.” They will be encouraged to sing along with many of the songs, including one for the Earth entitled “Let Us See The Beauty Everyday.” George Lindamood contributes his skills on piano while Susie Herrick will accompany the choir on flute when they present “Turn, Turn, Turn.”

The program will be emceed by M.E. Bartholomew and directed by Joel Yelland. A $5 donation is requested but not required. Contributions support the Compassion Clallam County Little Free Pantry Project.
