Pianists play live at lunch

St. Luke's continues mid-day music program

Music Live with Lunch presents Pat Marcy and Rosemary Brauniger in concert at noon Tuesday, Jan. 19, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

They will perform piano music for four hands.

Marcy has been a pianist with many musical groups, including the Port Angeles Symphony Chamber Orchestra and the Peninsula Singers, and served as accompanist for several musical theater productions.

Brauniger has appeared with the Port Angles Symphony and the PASO Chamber Orchestra. She retired as director of the Port Angeles Community Chorus and director of music at the First Baptist Church in Port Angeles.

Music Live with Lunch is a concert series held the third Tuesday of each month until May. It consists of a half-hour concert in the church followed by a hot lunch. Admission includes both the concert and the lunch for $10. A portion of all funds collected is given to Sequim charities.

Tickets are available at St. Luke’s from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon, Friday. The church can be reached at 683-4862; organizers, at 452-0495.

Center returns

to basics

The Rev. Lynn Osborne gives lessons in the basic teachings of Science of Mind on Sundays in January at Sequim Center for Spiritual Living.

A traditional practice for Religious Science Centers and churches throughout the country, anyone curious about these teachings is invited to attend and have his or her questions answered.

Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 W. Washington St., Sequim.

Osborne and the Rev. Michael Laakso facilitate accredited Science of Mind classes this month.
