Sequim High School puts spotlight on art on Jan. 5 with exhibition

Sequim High School hosts an evening of music and fine art from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at the school district’s boardroom and auditorium at 533 N. Sequim Ave.

The show includes performances from from the SHS jazz band under the direction of Vern Fosket, and the SHS choir under the direction of John Lorentzen.

In addition, floral arrangements from Steve Mahitka’s class will be on display as well as ceramics, various advanced placement art and poetry from Jake Reichner’s classes, along with drawing, painting and glass-fusing art displays from Jaye Hall’s students.
