Sequim sets block party: Seattle-based band Shaggy Sweet to headline community event set for Aug. 4

Sequim is hosting a party — and the entire town is invited.

The City of Sequim and the City Arts Advisory Commission is inviting the public to a block party at the Civic Center Plaza, 152 W. Cedar St., from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.

The event features the rock and blues music stylings of Seattle-based band Shaggy Sweet.

The event will have activities for all ages.

Food by Maggie May’s and beverages from The Cedars at Dungeness will be available for purchase.

The party marks the conclusion of the Keying Around program. Painted pianos located throughout downtown will be available for purchase through a silent auction; the auction will close at 7 p.m. and winners announced shortly thereafter.

Event sponsors include Castell Insurance, Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club, Olympic Theatre Arts, Sharon and Del DelaBarre and Susan Molin.
