Sequim WOW! forum on Nov. 9 focuses on balance

Barb Paschal presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum entitled “Dynamic Balance Ideas” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.

The best way to prevent falls is to move as often as possible and as productively as possible, in the best possible core alignment.

Paschal was a physical therapist working in all aspects of that profession for 33 years.

Since retiring, she has spent 14 years as a community educator hoping to help increase knowledge about exercise, better balance and healthier joints, as well as immune system and memory improvement.

She loves teaching others easy, practical and healthy ways to make each day great.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health &Wellness Clinic, Sequim’s free clinic.

The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members.

Its work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 5 p.m.

Individuals interested in supporting the clinic may call 582-0218.
