Here are some of the staff’s favorite Christmas movies. Write in the replies some of yours and if you agree with ours.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” — I don’t know how many umpteen times I’ve seen it but I watch it every year.
— Pat Coate, special sections editor

“A Smoky Mountain Christmas” — It’s about Dolly Parton as a big singer who gets in touch with the real meaning of Christmas. I think I cried every time I watched it.
— Mandy Harris, production designer

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” — I like the lyrics to the song “You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch.”
— Joan Worley, copy editor

“A Muppet Christmas Carol” — I love the music. My son and me grew up watching and loving the Muppets. It was the best of both worlds with the Muppets and Michael Caine who is so great. My second favorite is “Scrooged” with Bill Murray.
— Sue Ellen Riesau, publisher

“A Christmas Story” It’s such a classic, feel good movie.
— Debi Lahmeyer, ad representative

“A Christmas Story” — I like when Ralphie beats up the guy with yellow eyes and when Ralphie puts on the bunny suit.”

— John Huston, ad representative

Princess Leia sings a lot more in "The Star Wars Christmas Special" than she did in the original trilogy.

“The Star Wars Christmas Special” — From what I recall, a large portion of this includes Chewbacca, the large hairy alien, and his family grunting and groaning for most of the show, which was downright painful at times. But, this also was the first appearance of Boba Fett, the bounty hunter who took Han Solo to Jabba the Hut. So by default, this has to be my favorite Christmas movie.

As fun as he looks, Lumpy, is not the highlight of "The Star Wars Christmas Special."
