Bruce A. Churchill

A memorial service for Port Angeles resident Bruce A. Churchill will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Lighthouse Christian Center, 304 Viewcrest Ave., Port Angeles. Mr. Churchill died Aug. 10, 2008, at the age of 48 of brain cancer.

A full obituary will appear in a later issue of the Gazette.

Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.



Frederick G. Johnson

No service has been reported for Port Angeles resident Frederick G. Johnson, who died Aug. 3, 2008, at the age of 57.

He was born June 19, 1951, in Evanston, Ill., to Albert Kempter and Mary Eulalie Evans Johnson.

He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Stanford University in California and a Ph.D. from Washington University in Seattle.

He worked as a marine biologist and teacher on Whidbey Island and as a professor at Peninsula College in Port Angeles.

Dr. Johnson enjoyed scuba diving, rock collecting, lapidary and jewelry-making.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Stanford University Alumni.

He is survived by his mother Mary Eulalie Evans Lowe and sisters Kendra Johnson, Denise Carlton and Elizabeth Fisher.

Wallace L. Glinn Sr.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Sequim resident Wallace L. Glinn Sr. Mr. Glinn died July 31, 2008, at the age of 81 of a cardiac arrest.

He was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Seattle, to Ernie and June Hawley Glinn.

He graduated from Ballard High School and served in the United States Army.

He married Joan Fraser on March 28, 1992, in Seattle.

Mr. Glinn is survived by his wife, Joan Glinn of Sequim; son and daughter-in-law Lee and Diane Glinn of Redmond; daughter Lori Hayes of Montana; and four grandchildren.

Memorial gifts may be sent to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, P.O. Box 2014, Port Angeles, WA 98362.

Louise 'Gina' Zuccarini-Compan

No service was reported for Sequim resident Louise "Gina" Zuccarini-Compan, who died Aug. 2, 2008, at the age of 97.

She was born July 25, 1911, in Standard, Ill., to Flaminio and Giuseppina Cornia Gianelli.

She was a longtime resident of Hesperia, Calif., and lived in Washington state with her granddaughter Maria and family for the past two years.

She is survived by her sister Mary Labadie of Orange County, Calif.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Maria and Marshal Roragen of Sequim; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Zuccarini and son Richard Zuccarini.
