Schools announce snow make-up days

Students in Sequim schools still get extended weekends - just two fewer this school year, thanks to recent snowfall.

Bill Bentley, superintendent of Sequim schools, said students are scheduled to be in class May 8 and May 22, two of Sequim's three make-up days built into the school calendar.

If school officials have to cancel one or more days because of poor weather, students will be in class on the third make-up day (March 27) and possibly beyond June 17, the last scheduled day of the school year.
