Chamber meets

Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce holds its annual meeting at noon Tuesday, Jan. 19, at SunLand Golf and Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim. Lunch costs $15, $3 coffee/tea. Call 683-6197.

EDC celebrates

Clallam Economic Development Council holds its annual dinner/installation of board officers and new directors from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, in the Red Lion Hotel ballroom, Port Angeles. Cost is $35/person.

Bill Stainton, of Ovation Speaking, will present "Business Smarts with Show Biz Sparks - The Five Best Decisions The Beatles Ever Made" about leadership, attitude, teamwork and change.

Hobbs earns certification

Kay C. Hobbs, RN, has earned certification as an advanced oncology certified clinical nurse specialist. Hobbs earned a master of science degree in nursing from Seattle Pacific University. She has been with Olympic Medical Cancer Center since January 2008.

Grill opens

Kokopelli Grill is open at 203 E. Front St., Port Angeles, serving steaks, hickory-smoked ribs, pasta, seafood and salad, plus Southwest hand-crafted foods, an early bird menu, children's menu, homemade desserts and cocktails and specialty drinks.

Pet adoption, training

The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society brings its mobile pet adoption facility to the parking lot of Best Friend Nutrition, 680 W. Washington St., Suite B102, Sequim, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Society director Scott Chandler will be available to discuss volunteer opportunities and receive donations.

Certified professional dog trainer Judith Bell continues her "The Trainer Is In" dog training clinics from 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays Jan. 20, 27.

The custom clinics are free with a donation to the current month's pet rescue group.

Clinics will be held from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesdays in February and return to 4-6 p.m. on Wednesdays in March.
