The 115th Irrigation Festival kicked off March 6 with the crowning of the 2010 festival queen and princesses. Three Sequim High School juniors and one senior vied for the top honor and judges Bill Benedict, Mona Gates and Donna Meyer chose Fallon Schneider to lead the royalty court. She also won the Tracie Sofie Memorial Award.

Princesses are Sierra Shelden, junior; Ashley Fuentes, senior; and Sarah Berkes, junior.

In railroad attire for this year's theme, the girls danced to "Boogie Woogie Choo-Choo Train" and gave individual memorized speeches about Sequim in different decades.

Brad Goode of KING 5 TV and Amanda Bacon were masters of ceremonies for the pageant.

Schneider is the daughter of Kim Schneider and was sponsored by Tom's Plaza Jewelers. Shelden's parents are Tara and Anthony Bush and her sponsor is Dr. William Wickline. Ashley Fuentes is sponsored by Fifth Avenue Retirement Center and her parents are Milton and Mary

Fuentes. Berkes is the daughter of Ken and Paula Berkes and her sponsor is Tender Touches Spa.

The 33rd annual Irrigation Festival Pageant was sponsored by Kitsap Bank.
