Concerned Citizens of Clallam County’s held a “tax day” rally at the corners of Washington Street and Sequim Avenue on Thursday, April 15.

Organizers said it’s the biggest rally they’ve held, with more than 100 signing up for their e-mail list.

“It’s exciting to see people get off their duffs and do something,” said Joan Wagoner of Sequim.
Many attendees, such as Ray and Judy Puhl, said they’ve never come to a rally or been political before.

“My children are surprised,” Judy Puhl said.

“We have an anger about what’s happening in (Washington) D.C. with the overburdening of taxes and interest payments,” Ray Puhl said.

“Our children and grandchildren won’t have anything left for them.”

Concerned Citizens of Clallam County meets the fourth Monday of each month. The next meeting is from 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 26, at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim.

To contact organizers, visit, e-mail, or write to P.O. Box 3511, Sequim WA 98382.
