Sequim Community Church’s youth group worked on demolishing a building to extend the Door of Faith Orphanage’s dining hall in Mexico during spring break.

They excavated the debris, dug trenches for the foundation, mixed the concrete and poured the foundation for the new addition.

They also played with the children who live at the orphanage and each student delivered a care package to families of the surrounding community.

Students Desiree Robinson, Kris Lawrence and Kaylee Oen, who have attended for all four years of high school, Gloria Nesse, Zach Sisco, Katie Allen, Brianna Gilles, Colby Crisafi, Janel Howat, Annika Lawrence, Calli Norman, Ian Robinson, Chantelle Holgerson, Brenna Gallo, Nic Seabolt, Jake Sisco, Kawika Yasumura, Kris Petersen, Josh Garr, Andrew Schaumburg, Forrest Martin and Joel Christopher went on the trip. Among the leaders were SHS graduates Paul Koenigsaecker, Brittany Payseno and Laine Briggs, and staff Victor and Julie Lancheros, Colleen Robinson and Trayce Norman.
