Stylist treats First Step

First Step Family Support Center clients were the lucky recipients of a free day of beauty coordinated by stylist Candi Flanigan of the Salon at the Landing, 115 E. Railroad St., No. 204, Port Angeles. Stylists Way Robideau and Melody Anderson worked with Flanigan to bring a day of hair and skin care to young parents.

"We wanted give back to our community. As a single mom, I wanted to offer something to other single hardworking moms to give them a little break in their day," said Flanigan.

According to Amanda Geiger, who received a number of services, "It was absolutely cool that Candi did this for us. It takes a lot to put something together like this and to donate so much. It wasn't just about getting my hair done. She and the other stylists really connected with us and they were so supportive! This was an excellent experience!"

Each First Step client received a haircut, styling, a fully loaded gift bag and an opportunity to enjoy a clothing exchange.

Salon at the Landing, owned by Chetta Wallace, offers a variety of services via independent stylists. First Step Family Support Center, a local United Way agency, has promoted the healthy development of children and families for more than 30 years.
