Discovery Care cares


Boy Scouts of America Troop 1101 Scoutmaster John Howell assists Scout Weston Babb in raising the flag following the commands of Scout Wendel Lorenzen, with Weston Babb and Tyler Howell looking on. The flag raising was at Discovery Memory Care on May 31.

Discovery Memory Care honored Memorial Day on May 31. Boys Scout Troop 1101 held a flag raising ceremony and the residents and Scouts recited the pledge of allegiance and sang the national anthem. A display honored residents who served in the armed forces. Residents dined on an American barbecue lunch in the patriotically decorated dining room.

Discovery Memory Care and the local VFW/VA veteran service officers present a free veterans benefits seminar from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at the Sequim Senior Activity Center. Topics include benefits, how they work, how to apply and more.
