Koehler, Majewski named top volunteers

Clallam County Genealogy Society presented "Volunteer of the Year" Awards to members Susan Koehler and Virginia Majewski, both of Sequim.

Koehler started her family history research in the early 1980s. Upon moving to Sequim in 2002, she joined CCGS and immediately signed on with the Query Committee. For the past two and one-half years, she has been a board member at large. Koehler is office manager, volunteer chairwoman, family pioneer librarian, as well as doing two library shifts each week.

Virginia "Ginny" Majew-ski came to Clallam County Genealogical Society in October 1997 and what started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Wanting to learn more, she began taking many classes. She is vice president of the Washington State Genealogical Society. This September, the state society will present her with a Society Management Award.
