Collision east of Sequim

A two-car collision at 8:20 p.m. Monday, June 14, on U.S. Highway 101 east of Sequim blocked traffic but the drivers sustained only minor injuries.
Thomas Bushinksi, 65, of Port Townsend, was driving a Volkswagon Passat eastbound on U.S. Highway 101 approaching Sequim Bay Lodge, four miles east of Sequim.
Scott Haynes, 35, of Sequim was driving a Toyota Tundra. Haynes attempted to pass the Volkswagon and the two cars collided, both drivers lost control and the vehicles left the roadway to the right and rolled onto their tops.
Both vehicles were totaled. Haynes was treated at the scene for minor cuts and abrasions. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no drugs or alcohol are believed to be involved. The cause and potential charges are under investigation.
