New sidewalks damaged in Port Angeles

Lakeside Industries is currently pouring new sidewalks for the City of Port Angeles in the 1500 block of S "E" Street.  During the late evening hours of July 29, 2010, unknown persons heavily damaged the newly poured sidewalk.  Obscenities, names and initials, pentagrams and the words "Kill Jesus" were deeply carved into the sidewalk.  There were also a number of footprints recovered in the cement.

According to George Peabody, Jr. of Lakeside Industries, approximately 82 feet of sidewalk will have to be torn out and re-poured at a cost of $6000. Peabody stated that this is the first vandalism they have encountered on this project which started on June 21st.

Names and initials carved into the sidewalk include: "G POSS", "P.S.M.", "Hannah", "Craig + Patty", "Burn in Hell", "Kill Jesus", and "Heavy Head".
