Building supply company consolidates products, staff

Lumber Traders has moved its product lines and staff from The Showcase to Angeles Millwork & Lumber Company and Hartnagel Building Supply locations. Lumber Traders still offers the same products, but says eliminating one location is more efficient.

Window specialist Donna Hoyt is at Hartnagel Building Supply, 3111 E. Highway 101, Port Angeles. Free replacement window seminars on Aug. 17 and Oct. 19 cover benefits of replacement windows, rebates and federal tax credits. Call 452-8933 for information or to register.

Contractor salesman Mike Blodgett, specializing in material lists and all types of building materials, is at Angeles Millwork & Lumber Company, 1601 S. C St., Port Angeles. Call 457-8581.

Hoyt and Blodgett will track all outstanding special orders and contact customers about pickup or delivery.

The Showcase product lines are displayed at Angeles Millwork & Lumber Company. Many displays at The Showcase are being sold "as is" at deeply discounted prices. Bone yard windows, doors and hardware also are sale-priced. The Showcase is at 833 E. Front St., Port Angeles.

The Quarry, also at 833 E. Front St., will remain open until Aug. 31 and then be moved to Hartnagel Building Supply. Call Greg Downing at 417-8397 about stone sales through August.

Former owners and trustees and recently elected

board members Arnold and Debbie Schouten have returned to their positions at Lumber Traders. Arnold is the interim CEO and Debbie the interim CFO.

"Closing the Showcase and The Quarry is a difficult decision to have to make, but Lumber Traders is committed to doing what is necessary in order to remain viable while there is a reduced demand for building and construction materials," said Arnold Schouten.
