Mariners sell hundreds of seats to "Vampire" promotion game

The Seattle Mariners are expecting a sizable contingent of fans from the West End and other regions of the Olympic Peninsula at their "Vampire" night promotion set for Saturday, Aug. 7 at Safeco Field.  The Mariners take on the Kansas City Royals that night.

A special seating area with pre-game day sales only discount tickets has drawn about 700 buyers, according to the Mariners' media office. The Forks High School cheerleaders and the Port Angeles High School band are scheduled to be part of the festivities that will feature a tribute to Olympic Peninsula residents, and a special nod to fans of the Twilight Saga series and other vampire books and movies.
