How to use our Disqus story commenting feature

The Sequim Gazette allows reader comments to selected news, sports and entertainment stories on our website.

Logging In To Comment

To comment on our site, you’ll need to log in any one of several ways.
If you already have a Facebook, Twitter, OpenID or Yahoo! account, you can log in using any one of those by clicking on the appropriate linked button using the drop-down menu to the right of the comment box.

If you don’t want to use one of those or you want to take advantage of some of the additional benefits you can create a Disqus account. All you need is a valid email address for verification.

Step 1: Underneath each post, there is a linked button for “Disqus”. (Note: If you’re already signed up and logged in, you won’t see this.) To create a Disqus account click the linked button that reads “Disqus” in the drop-down menu.

Step 2: After you click login, you’ll be prompted for your username and password. Instead, click the link below that says “Don’t have one? Register a new profile.”

Step 3: At the registration screen, enter an email address, username and password. Click the register button. As long as the username you’ve selected isn’t taken by another Disqus user, you’ll receive a verification email directly from Disqus. If you encounter any problems logging in after registration, clear your browser cache.

Your comments not appearing? You must be a registered Disqus user and have verified your e-mail address or use your Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo or OpenID account. If you have a registered Disqus account but never verified your e-mail, you may request another verification e-mail here.
