United Way celebrities bag groceries

United Way of Clallam County brought out some local notable names for its annual Celebrity Bagging event.

In Sequim, business owners, Rotarians and Sequim city staff bagged groceries at Safeway, Sunny Farms Country Store and QFC on Oct. 16 to bring awareness to the United Way’s campaign “Helping Our Community Live United.”

Volunteers handed out fliers encouraging shoppers to donate through their work or mail.

Local celebrities in Port Angeles worked at Albertson’s, Saar’s Market Place Foods, Safeway and Swain’s General Store. Forks held its event Oct. 2 at Forks Outfitters.
