Car-truck collision slows traffic on Highway 101

Rubberneckers have been slowing to investigate the aftermath of an accident at the corner of Lewis Road and Highway 101 near Port Angeles. The two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. when the driver of a Pontiac Fiero arriving from the north pulled into the highway to take a left turn toward Sequim. She was clipped by a semi-truck that was traveling west. State Patrol Officer T.D. Beebe characterized the accident as “no big deal,” and said there were no injuries.
