Calvary Chapel Sequim, 91 S. Boyce Road, opened the doors and filled the floors with hay on Dec. 19 for its second annual live Nativity scene called “Passport to Bethlehem.”

Church members portrayed shepherds, Roman soldiers and biblical figures to recreate the birth of Jesus.
Activities for children included making bead jewelry, doing calligraphy, decorating ornaments, making headdresses and painting.

Food recreated from recipes popular in the Promised Land was shared.

Pastor Hans Bailey led sermons throughout the morning on Jesus’ birth. He and Chyrell Jones, 17, portrayed Joseph and Mary while reading from Luke 2 of the Bible.
