Pet pals give back

Sherry Creech, business manager of Peninsula Friends of Animals (third from left), draws the winners’ names for free spay/neuter vouchers, as her group celebrates National Spay/Neuter Month in February. Joining her at the Feb. 22 drawing are group volunteers (from left) Ellen Morrison, Sharon Palmer and Sharlene Buscy. Drawing winners include: Tom Grotgan, Kristen Bertelson, Traci Reynolds, Julieanne Fry, Debbie Wakely and Jason Gourley of Sequim; Michael Langland, Susan Caldwell, Dan Chambers and David Keisling of Port Angeles; and Lucretia Stansbury of Forks. Peninsula Friends of Animals is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization that assists with low-income spay/neuters. The group has monthly surgery clinics in partnership with Sequim Animal Hospital and Angeles Clinic.  Call 683-4697. Submitted photo
