UPDATED: PUD says 130 customers still without power

As of 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, all of Joyce is on with the exception of Graul-Ramapo and Camp Hayden.

Most of South Shore is back on at the lake but East Beach is still mostly out.

There are still about 130 customers without power now with no ETA on when those will be restored.

Crews continue working.

 


The latest power outage information from Michael Howe, PUD Executive Communications Coordinator:

Crews have restored most of Patterson Rd. in Port Angeles, but some customers will remain out for a few more hours.
 
The Joyce area should be restored in the next 30-90 minutes, with perhaps some isolated single outages in the area going into the evening.
 
Deer Park should be restored by 4:30pm.
 
Glass Rd. should be restored by 4:30pm.
 
Herrick Rd. sometime around 5:30pm.
 
There will be some customers out at Barnes Pt. and individual customers in all locations that could potentially go without power later into the night.
 

We are presently experiencing outages in the following locations:
 

In Port Angeles: Glass Rd., Patterson Rd. and Deer Park.
 
In Joyce: all customers off of the Joyce substation. Reports of lines down in Eden Valley, Grauel Ramapo and East Beach.

All of our crews have been dispatched and are in the process of making repairs in order to restore power.  In the event that the weather continues to create new outages to the above listed areas, there is the chance that the restoration times listed will need to be adjusted.

Updates to outage status will be posted as soon as additional information is available.  This information is current as of 2:34 p.m.

Power is now restored to some areas on the west end of the county, but those in the east end could be left in the dark for another five hours.

Clallam County Public Utility District Executive Communications Coordinator Michael Howe said in the Deer Park area some people will have power restored in two hours but for the remainder served from the PUD substation it could be five hours.

Clallam County PUD reports as of 9:52 a.m., there are 2,500 customers without power.


Outages are in the following areas:
• Sequim, Lost Mountain Rd.
• Port Angeles, Patterson Rd., all of the Monroe area, and Deer Park.
• Joyce, all customers off of the Joyce substation — about 750 customers
• The Hoko and South of Forks area including the Lower Hoh and Oil City Road.
 
Michael Howe, executive communications coordinator, said crews have been dispatched and are in the process of making repairs in order to restore power.

The Port Angeles PUD offices have been affected by this power outage, which has resulted in computer and telephone delays.
