KidFlixGlobal presents free showing of ‘Wolf Summer’
“Wolf Summer,” an action-adventure film produced in Norway, will be presented at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 3, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center in Sequim’s Railroad Bridge Park. Admission is free.
KidFlixGlobal CEO Larry Hulse said the showing “provides a great opportunity to see one of the new full-length feature films in the KidFlixGlobal library.”
The film is subtitled and recommended for children 8 years old and older.
Hulse said his Sequim-based film distribution company is taking a stand against “the proliferation of violent films being marketed to youth by the Hollywood machine and offering an alternative to parents hungry for movies that both entertain and demonstrate strong character values for young audiences.”
The films, produced in countries around the world, provide a portal for learning about different customs and cultures. “Ultimately,” Hulse said, the films show “how similar we all are as human beings.”
Founded by Hulse and April Wolcott, a film buff with a life-long passion for foreign language and culture, KidFlix purchases the rights to family oriented, live action and animated foreign films and distributes them to American audiences via a Netflix-like business model.
Seating is limited for the Sunday showing of “Wolf Summer.” Call 683-5494 for reservations.
