City hosts spring cleaning

Sequim Gazette staff

The city of Sequim holds its annual Spring Clean Up program for city residents from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, at the Sequim City Shop, 169 W. Hemlock St.

A “Food for Trash” coupon was included in the April issue of “Sequim News,” which was mailed in the city’s utility billing on April 1.

Residents within the city limits are asked to bring two cans of food for the Sequim Food Bank along with the coupon to the city shop. The city will take one vehicle load of trash such as appliances, furniture, tires, etc., in exchange for the food and coupon. The first load is free with $10-$25 for additional loads depending on size.

Refrigerators, freezers, paints or hazardous materials are not accepted. Computers and televisions can be recycled at the Sequim Goodwill or at EcycleNW in Blyn.
