Suspect arrested in night-time scare

by Sequim Gazette staff

A teenage girl in Carlsborg awoke to a man looking through her bedroom window at 1:52 a.m. today.

The girl told Sheriff’s deputies Brian Knutson and Andrew Wagner her window screen was removed, her window open and her blinds fully raised before she woke up and saw the man, leading them to believe he had reached into her bedroom during the incident, Sheriff’s Sgt. John Hollis said in a news release.

The deputies arrested a suspect matching the man’s description less than 100 yards away from the girl’s home, parked in the driveway of people who did not know him, Hollis said.

Spencer J. Silva, 21, of Port Angeles, is in custody at the Clallam County jail on investigation of voyeurism and residential burglary.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information on similar incidents, reported or not, notify Sergeant John Hollis at 417-2471.
