Harvest and Halloween events
• Zombie play invades Port Angeles Playhouse
Port Angeles Community Players presents “Wait for the Blackout,” a play written and directed by Max Mania. The horror play runs at 8 p.m. Oct. 28-30 at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd. in Port Angeles. Admission is $10 per person and the show is not suitable for those under 13 years of age. Audience members are encouraged to come in costumes. Door prizes available.

• Club carnival and haunted house
The Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., hosts a free carnival in its gym and a haunted house run by its Teen Club from 6-8 p.m. For more information, call 683-8095.

• Family Fun Fest
New Life Open Bible, on the corner of Sixth and Peabody in Port Angeles, hosts a Family Fun Fest and old fashioned apple press from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Free food, cider, games and activities. Bring a container for cider. For more information and to donate apples, call 457-8888.
• Harvest Party in Agnew
Faith Baptist Church hosts a harvest party from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 253 Home Lane, Port Angeles, off Finn Hall Road near the Agnew Grocery. The event includes a barbecue at noon, cider pressing, hay rides, games and a devotional. Call 683-7303 or 808-0013 for more information.
• Haunted Hallways
Sequim High Schoolers host trick-or-treating, games and prizes from 1-4 p.m. for children 10 and younger in the Sequim High School’s H-building, 601 N. Sequim Ave., the brick building closest to the soccer field. Costumes are encouraged. Call 582-3600 for more information.
• Downtown trick-or-treating

• Sixth annual Día de Los Muertos celebration

• Costume party at casino
“Angels or Demons” party for 21 and up at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 Highway 101, Blyn. No cover with $500 worth of prizes for best angel or demon, group and overall costumes. Sequim Community Church, 1000 N. Fifth Ave., hosts its free family festival from 6-8 p.m. with live music by Old Sidekicks, a local country band, a blowup bouncy ship, games, candy and food. Costumes welcome.

• The Pumpkin Patch, at the corner of Kitchen-Dick and U.S. Highway 101, is open 9 a.m.-dusk weekdays with a corn maze, horse rides, U-pick pumpkins, Haunted House 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, draft horses wagon ride Saturday and a straw maze Friday-Saturday.

• Heroes Unmasked event
Children from preschool through fifth grade and families are invited to participate in “Heroes Unmasked” from 6:30-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1323 Sequim-Dungeness Way. The church’s youth groups run free games such as Slay a Giant, Crown a Queen, Football Throw and a Screaming Chicken Race for a chance at prizes.
