A Sequim High School Independent Studies Student exhibition is scheduled during the First Friday Artwalk on Dec. 2 at Garden Bistro and Bakery (Bell Street Bakery), 175 West Bell St., Sequim.

The opening is from 5-8 p.m. Stop in and meet the artists as they demonstrate their drawing skills.

Students in the show include Austin Becker, Andrea Morris, Jaiden Dokken, Jesh Anthony, Julianne Miller, Patrick Carpenter and Sarah Necco.

Though the Advanced Placement Studio Art Class was cut from the school district program this year, these students begged to do an independent art study.

“Among other things, they just completed a study of onions and are moving out into baked goods,” says art instructor Martha Rudersdorf.
